Jayden Daniels is NOT being placed on injured reserve, and the Commanders finally have some encouraging news after a disastrous start to the season.
Washington is keeping the door open for its franchise quarterback to return without a mandatory four-game absence. While there's still no definitive timeline, this is a massive development for a team desperately trying to keep its playoff hopes alive.
I still have questions about how the Commanders handled Daniels' original elbow injury last year, but this is undeniably positive news. The priority now has to be getting JD5 completely healthy rather than rushing him back.
Can Marcus Mariota keep Washington competitive until Daniels returns? And how much does this latest injury update change the outlook for the rest of the season?
