As the Washington Commanders head into their preseason finale, Sam Hartman and Athan Kaliakmanis battle for the QB3 spot.
Despite Hartman's presence with the team over the last two years, Kaliakmanis has shown more spark and arm talent in recent preseason showings, leaving coaches with tough decisions. Will practice squad depth or offensive coordinator preferences factor into Hartman’s future with the team?
Eyes also shift to rookie receiver Jayden Bradley, whose highlight-reel, one-handed grab against the Detroit Lions turned heads. Despite standout performances and praise for his competitiveness, Bradley faces stiff competition from NFL veterans like Van Jefferson and Dyami Brown in a crowded receiver room. Can another big play against the Ravens secure him a roster spot, or will he have to impress elsewhere in the league? The Commanders’ depth at wide receiver and shifting quarterback dynamics promise to make cut day especially intriguing.
