The Washington Commanders might be the hardest team in the NFL to predict this season.
There’s a world where Jayden Daniels bounces back, the new additions hit, and Washington becomes one of the NFC’s most dangerous teams. But there’s also a scenario where the offensive line, injuries, and questionable roster construction send this season in the opposite direction.
And one decision I still don’t understand: keeping SEVEN wide receivers.
If the Commanders preferred Luke McCaffrey over the other options, that’s completely fair. But keeping seven receivers meant sacrificing valuable depth elsewhere on the roster — and for a team already dealing with questions at several positions, was that really the best use of a roster spot?
The upside is exciting. The downside is concerning. And that might make the Commanders one of the NFL’s biggest wild cards in 2026.
